Luxury & AI Comes to the Booking Industry: I Labs plans to deploy an Itinerary builder

Dubai-based App Development agency I Labs wants to make the booking process for luxury travellers process faster and easier — for both the traveler and hotel.

“The idea was to really consolidate the hotels, restaurants and experiences, this very fragmented space into a one-stop solution from both the guest standpoint and the operator’s standpoint, because it’s fragmented from both sides,” I Labs CEO said, adding he sees the hospitality industry as one of the last to automate.

The startup provides software and services to luxury hotel, restaurants and experience operators in an effort to streamline their operations and make guest service available from a single dashboard. Travelers can access everything from their app.

The CEO said he created the company because he wanted to provide luxury travelers with an “Uber type of luxury experience.” Currently they need to scout through 1000s of listings of booking.com, civitatis and the fork to get a combination of luxury itinerary. It will available only in Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

The startup is integrating AI into its product, to show relevant listings to solo, couples or family travellers and build an ideal automated itinerary for them based on similar booking patterns from similar users. CEO said the experience helped him see the need for a more streamlined, on-demand hospitality service that could make staying in hotels easier for guests and operators.

The app works on a revenue-share model. The company receives a percentage of the hotel’s earnings, based on the package an operator chooses and the services it needs.

So far, the app in in partnership with the top listings in Dubai and New York, hoping to add more luxury destinations to its platform soon.
